Salvaged and reclaimed solid wood cube coffee & side tables

URBAN TREE SALVAGE® solid wood cubes can be used for coffee tables and side tables, as well as occasional seating.  They come with lower feet, which elevate the piece slightly for proper air circulation, while creating a nice shadow line.  They are also available with castors to allow easy movement for cleaning and general use.

We offer a variety of solid wood hardwood cubes in maple, elm, ash, basswood, poplar and willow.  Salvaged from locally felled Toronto trees, sizes typically range from 14-24” square.  These cubes are an exquisite blend of rustic and refined.

We also create reclaimed old-growth pine and hemlock timber cubes from the historic Queen's Wharf, circa 1830's, and the Toronto Ferry Terminal Wharf, circa 1912.  Both wharfs were discovered in downtown Toronto while excavating for condo developments down at Bathurst Street/Lakeshore Drive and Bay Street/Harbour Street in 2006-2007. We estimate that the trees started growing back as early as the 1500-1700's!  These are truly a piece of Toronto’s history

As the material is very old, it is quite dense, with very tight annual growth rings.  Due to being buried underground for so many years, the timbers have absorbed the minerals from the earth, creating a unique color palette.  Our reclaimed beam cubes are generally 10” x 10” x 16-24” high.
