Urban Tree Salvage offers a selection of solid wood and metal base designs and finish options. All bases are built-to-order to complement the size of your table top, to ensure stability and to accommodate your desired amount of seating.

Unlike the mass-produced metal bases that you may see at your local furniture retailer, our metal bases are created using industrial steel, providing superior support for your table top. As opposed to individual leg sets, all metal bases created by Urban Tree Salvage are fully welded units connected by skirts for increased stability and to help better support your investment. All of our bases also include inset levelers to accommodate uneven flooring.

For our metal bases, finish options include: Hot Rolled Steel and Blackened Steel.

The Hot Rolled steel finish has variations of light and dark grey giving a more industrial look. All UTS metal bases are finished with water based urethane to seal and protect the metal.

The Blackened Steel finish is caused by an oxidization process which creates an overall black with subtle hints of browns and rust tones. This finish provides a more classic look.

Our solid wood bases come in a variety of species to complement your slab table top. Color variations and characteristics will vary based on the wood selected. Finish options include: hand rubbed oil, water based urethane and oil based stains. All of our wood is locally salvaged from Ontario Wood, and our products qualify for Green Building certification.
