Ash has a golden color palette with a golden cream sapwood and a caramel brown heartwood. The wood is straight-grained, open pored and hard. Ash is a grainy wood, similar to Oak and is a higher density hardwood.
As Ash is a ring porous wood, it accepts stain very well making the annual growth rings very pronounced.
