Silver Maple (Soft Maple) will have variations of creams, salmons, auburns and blue/greys. Silver maple is relatively hard, even textured and easily worked. Most beautiful when finished naturally to accentuate the colors. Due to all of its variations and tight grain, it does not take stain uniformly. Although a moderately dense and heavy wood, it is lighter and softer than hard maple. Silver Maple is a ring diffused wood that falls into the “Soft Maple” category. Color variations make it easy to match with existing décor.
