Established in 2004, by husband and wife team Sean and Melissa, URBAN TREE SALVAGE® founded the live edge slab table movement in Canada. Our expertise in the industry and reputation for quality craftsmanship has led to projects with some of the largest brands in the world. We specialize in creating solid wood live edge slab tables, accessories and other furniture pieces for you home, office or cottage. We offer a very personalize shopping experience where we assist you in selecting your wood, finish and base design. What we do
URBAN TREE SALVAGE® owns and operates sawmills, dry kilns, a woodshop and a metal shop, all housed on a few acres of land. No part of our process is outsourced, ensuring high quality and competitive prices. Each log we salvage is hand selected for quality and uniqueness. As urban trees are under stress due to the environment they have been growing in, many of our logs have beautiful figures or characters, such as curls, spalting, birdseye and quilting, to name a few. All our live edge material is salvaged from locally-felled permit-removed urban trees, so as not to encourage or create a market for logging or unnecessary removals. LEARN MORE...

Looking to replace your standard stone or laminate countertop, we create solid wood kitchen countertops, island tops and vanity tops to fit any space and decor. Offered with a natural live edge or a more contemporary straight edge, we can create them to any size or shape including cut outs for sinks and faucets. Finished with a durable satin sheen water based urethane, our countertops don't require any future upkeep and just soap and water to keep clean. Want to make your bedroom extra cozy, we produce one of a kind natural live edge or straight edge headboards to match your personal style. Our solid wood wall hung headboards come with mounting hardware for easy installation and are built to order so you can choose the right height and width to fit your space.
